While some links to cancer have been made with saccharin, if you must use an artificial sweetener, it is best to use saccharin.

| A Woman's Story |
We received this note from C.D. of California concerning her use of aspartame and sucralose.
|
| "Many years ago, I quit using aspartame because it seemed I was needing more and more to satisfy my sweet tooth. About three months later, certain symptoms I had developed returned to normal. First, my menstrual cycle became regular again, and second, and most importantly, the worst headaches I had ever experienced in my life ceased. It was so noticeable that I had to ask myself, "What am I doing differently?" Giving up aspartame was the only change.
Recently, I noticed that I was starting to have a headache almost every day. They weren't as bad as before, but no headache is desireable. Also, my menstrual cycle became irregular again. I had to ask myself, "Am I doing anything or eating anything different that could be causing these symptoms?" I suddenly realized that I had been consuming about two low-carb bars a day which I knew contained sucralose. I wondered if there might be a correlation, so I quit. My headaches are nearly gone, and I'm waiting to see if my cycle will return to normal.
That's all I need to be convinced." |
