- formation of fatty acids
- metabolism of glucose (sugars)
- regulation of body chemistry
Deficiencies : Biotin deficiency (not enough) can result in:
- anorexia
- dermatitis (in infants)
- dry, itchy skin
- nausea
- vomiting
Overdose : Biotin overdose (too much) can result in:
- failure to absorb B vitamins
