If you prefer, you can use low-sodium soy sauce.
You can speed up prep time by purchasing jars of minced garlic in the fresh produce aisle of your local supermarket.
You can substitute ground pork for the beef in this recipe.

| Cocktail Meatballs |
Ingredients
(4 servings - 21 g protein and 1 g carb per serving)

| 2 tbsp |
soy sauce |
| 1/4 cup |
water |
| 1/2 clove |
garlic, minced |
| 1/2 tsp |
ginger |
| 1 pound |
lean ground beef |
| 1/4 tsp |
black pepper |
|
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- In large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, water, garlic, ginger, and pepper.
- Add ground beef.
- Mix lightly, but thoroughly.
- Form into 1" diameter meatballs.
- Spray baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
- Arrange meatballs on baking sheet.
- Place in oven for 15 minutes.
- Serve while hot in small bowls with toothpicks or serve already skewered on cocktail picks (frilled toothpicks) on a serving tray.
