Marinated Steak
Ingredients
(4 servings - 20.5 g protein and 1 g carb per serving)

1.5 pounds flank steak
2/3 cup dry red wine
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/8 tsp oregano
1/8 tsp marjoram
1/2 tsp black pepper
  • In deep baking dish, combine wine, soy sauce, and seasonings.
  • Place steak into the dish and turn to coat.
  • Cover tightly.
  • Refrigerate 12-24 hours.
  • Preheat broiler or gas grill.
  • Remove steak from marinade.
  • Place on broiler or grill rack 4 inches from heat.
  • Cook 5-7 minutes on each side.
  • To serve, cut thin slices of meat diagonally across the grain.
  • Serve while hot or use later cold in salads.
