Be sure to speak with your healthcare professional before beginning any diet or fast.
If you experience lightheadedness, dizziness, extreme fatigue, heart palpitations, or any other side effect while engaging in a fast, speak with your doctor right away.
Be sure to take a multivitamin mineral supplement during your fast to replace the nutrients you will not be getting from a well-rounded diet.

| One Man's Juice Diet Story |
| On 23 October 2003, we received this note from J.W.L. in Muscat, Oman, concerning his use of juice dieting (fasting).
"Just read your bit about juice fasts. Last year, I went on one for seven weeks. I couldn't believe how good I felt during that time--I was clear-headed and totally headache free. I was getting migraines sometimes 2 or 3 times a week before. I did have a definite loss of energy and got quite weak near the end. I stuck to the fruit juice and only drank pure juice with no additives when I purchased juice. Often, I made my own fruit smoothies and drank as much as I wanted.
I lost 15 kilograms. I am a 57-year old man, 183cm tall and went from 100 kgs to 85 kgs. I have kept it off for nearly one year following a generally low-carb regime with almost no sugar and no refined carbs." |
Thank you J.W.L.. for sharing your story with our visitors. We would like to remind our visitors that, before they engage in any diet, including juice fasting, they should speak with their physician.
