If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add 1 tsp of minced garlic to the liquid basting sauce and omit the garlic powder.
You can find chopped and minced garlic in jars in most supermarket produce aisles or fresh food sections.

| Barbecued Lamb Spareribs |
Ingredients
(4 servings - 300 calories per serving)

| 3 lbs |
lamb spareribs |
| 2 cans (12 oz each) |
beer |
| 1/2 tsp |
pepper |
| 1 tsp |
garlic powder |
| 12 oz |
tomato catsup |
| 1/2 cup |
distilled white vinegar |
| 1 tsp |
sugar |
| 1/4 tsp |
black pepper |
| 1 tsp |
Worcestershire sauce |

- In medium saucepan, combine catsup, vinegar, sugar, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Simmer 15 minutes over low heat, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Preheat charcoal or gas grill.
- In a large pot, boil the ribs in beer for 30 minutes.
- Remove ribs and drain.
- Sprinkle with pepper and garlic powder.
- Place ribs on preheated grill.
- Grill for 5-10 minutes, turning ribs often, and basting with sauce frequently.
- Remove from grill to serving platter.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired.
