| French Country Bread |
Ingredients
(16 servings - 130 calories per serving)

| 1 pkg |
active dry yeast |
| 1 cup |
milk (warmed to 105-115 degrees) |
| 1/4 cup |
honey |
| 2 tbsp |
vegetable oil |
| 2 |
eggs (beaten) |
| 1/2 tsp |
salt |
| 4 cups |
all-purpose flour |
| 1 tbsp |
sesame seeds (optional) |
| 1/4 cup |
butter (room temperature) |

- Prepare 2-1/2 quart ovenproof bowl or baking dish by spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
- In large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk.
- Stir in honey, oil, eggs, salt, and 3-3/4 cups flour.
- Turn out onto floured board or countertop.
- Knead dough for 5 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.
- Coat large mixing bowl with oil.
- Place dough in bowl.
- Turn dough to coat all sides of dough with oil.
- Cover with plastic wrap or towel.
- Let rise in a warm, draft-free place until almost doubled.
- Punch dough down.
- Pinch off a baseball sized piece.
- Place larger piece in the prepared baking dish.
- Make indentation in top of dough.
- Brush egg wash over indentation.
- Place baseball-sized piece of dough into indentation.
- Brush the whole dough with egg wash.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
- Let rise until almost doubled.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool completely in pan before cutting.
