Try using different shaped pastas for interest.
Use fresh chopped basil or oregano instead of the dried herbs.

| Italian Pasta Salad |
Ingredients
(12 servings - 175 calories per serving)

| 1 pkg (16 oz) |
rotini |
| 1 can (8 oz) |
tomato sauce |
| 1 cup |
fat-free Italian dressing |
| 1 tsp |
dried basil |
| 1 tsp |
dried oregano |
| 1 cup |
mushrooms (sliced) |
| 5 |
plum tomatoes (coarsely chopped) |
| 1 medium |
red onion (chopped) |
| 1 can (2.25 oz) |
sliced ripe olives (drained) |
|
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Drain.
- Rinse with cold water.
- In mixing bowl, blend tomato sauce, dressing, basil, and oregano.
- Add pasta, mushrooms, tomatoes, onion, and olives.
- Toss gently to blend.
- Cover.
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
- Serve chilled.
