Heath bars can be crushed before opening to make less mess.
Be careful of portion sizes with this one! This recipe makes 18 bars, not 12.

You can replace the chopped pecans with chopped cashews, peanuts, or walnuts, as you like.

Low calorie and delicious
Peanut Candy Bar Cookies
Ingredients
(18 servings - 150 calories per serving)
1 cup unsifted all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/2 cup sweet butter (cold, cut into pieces)
7 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 small egg (Iightly beaten)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 english toffee/chocolate candy bar (Heath bar) (crushed)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In medium mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar.
  • Cut in butter with pastry blender or with food processor.
  • Blend until mixture is soft-crumb consistency.
  • Spray 8-inch square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Press flour mixture into bottom of pan.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • In mixing bowl, blend milk, egg, and vanilla.
  • Stir in crushed candy and nuts.
  • Spread over prepared crust.
  • Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Cool.
  • Cover.
  • Place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting.
  • Cut into 18 bars.
