You can precook linguine or angel hair for use in this recipe. DO NOT butter noodles when they're done. Simply rinse in cold water to stop cooking and set aside.
You can use low-sodium soy sauce if you're watching your sodium intake.
Use no-fat chicken broth to save calories and fat.

| Pork Lo Mein |
Ingredients
(4 servings - 225 calories per serving)

sesame seeds |
| 1/2 lb |
boneless pork loin (trimmed, cut into strips) |
| 2 cups |
snap pea pods (strings removed) |
| 1 cup |
baby carrots (cut into sticks) |
| 1/2 pkg (9 oz) |
refrigerated linguine (cut into 2-inch pieces) |
| 1/3 cup |
chicken broth |
| 1 tbsp |
soy sauce |
| 2 tsp |
cornstarch |
| 1 tsp |
sugar |
| 4 cloves |
garlic (finely chopped) |
| 2 tsp |
gingerroot (finely chopped) |
| 1/2 cup |
red onion (thinly sliced) |

- Heat large skillet or wok over medium high heat.
- Add sesame seeds.
- Stir frequently while dry-frying for about 2 minutes or until seeds become golden brown.
- Remove seeds.
- Let pan cool on unused burner.
- In saucepan, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil
- Add pea pods, carrots, and linguine.
- Boil for 3 minutes.
- Drain and set aside.
- In small mixing bowl, blend broth, soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, garlic, and gingerroot.
- Prepare skillet or wok by spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
- Heat over medium-high heat until spray begins to bubble.
- Add pork and onion.
- Stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Add broth mixture.
- Stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Add pea pods, carrots, and linguine.
- Cook for 2 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Add sesame seeds.
- Serve while hot.
