Rappini is closer to a spinach in appearance than the broccoli you're used to eating.  If you can't find rappini at your supermarket, try an Asian foods market.
You can skip the chopped garlic by using garlic-infused olive oil.

You can also try this recipe using dandelion greens or mature spinach.

Rappini (Bitter Broccoli) Saute................This recipe from AJM of La Mesa, CA
Ingredients
(2 servings - 171 calories per serving)
4 cups rappini (bitter broccoli) 
2 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 tsp ground red pepper
  • Steam broccoli for 3-4 minutes.
  • Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add garlic to pan.
  • Saute for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add broccoli.
  • Toss for 1-3 minutes or until tender to your liking.
  • Sprinkle with red pepper before serving
