Wild rice is prepared the same way you prepare regular white rice, but it adds more texture and flavor to your rice dishes.
Instead of using plain white rice again, try a blend of white and wild, just wild, or basmati.
Low calorie and delicious
Teriyaki Rice
Ingredients
(4 servings - 200 calories per serving)
1 cup long grain rice
2 cups beef broth
1/2 tsp salt
3 green onions (sliced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
  • In medium saucepan, heat broth to boiling.
  • Add salt and rice.
  • Bring to a boil again and cover pan.
  • Simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Add onions, garlic, teriyaki sauce, and sugar.
  • Stir well.
  • Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Serve hot topped with fresh, chopped, green onion.
