Try using smooth applesauce in place of the chunky, if you prefer.
You can sprinkle each finished squash with a little cinnamon-sugar for a little extra treat.

| Glazed Squash |
Ingredients
6 servings - 250 calories per serving
8 grams of fat per serving
|
| 3 small |
acorn squash (cut in half) |
| 1/2 tsp |
pepper |
| 1/2 tsp |
cinnamon |
| 1/4 cup |
butter |
| 1-1/2 cups |
chunky applesauce |
| 1/4 cup |
firmly packed brown sugar |

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Lightly spray casserole or glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Arrange squash, cut side down in coated baking dish.
- Fill pan 1/4-inch deep with hot water.
- Bake for 35 minutes.
- Invert squash.
- Mash insides with fork.
- Season with pepper, cinnamon, and butter.
- Mix lightly with fork.
- Top each with applesauce and brown sugar.
- Return to oven.
- Bake 15 minutes.
- Serve while hot.
