On 22 June 2004, we received this note from P.L. concerning their use of sucralose.
|
"I am 70-year old retired RN who worked in a headache and stress management center. I suffered from migraines for many years only to be rid of them when hormonal imbalances were over.
I started on a weight reduction diet in the spring of 2003. After about 3 months of sugar-free foods and the use of Nutrasweet as an additive to my diet, my headaches returned. I removed Nutrasweet from my diet and the headaches were gone.
I was happy to see a new artificial sweetener become available and began using Splenda. Again after about 2 months the migraines returned but with more vigor. Since my life is stable and the only things added to my diet were the two sweeteners I can only assume that they precipitate headaches for me."
Thank you P.L. for sharing your story with our visitors. |
