Splenda - the sugar substitute you need to be wary about
On 2 August 2004, we received this note from J. of Orlando, FL, concerning their use of sucralose.
"I had been using Splenda for about 3 months and feeling worse every day with extreme fatigue, somnolence, trouble concentrating, terrible joint pain, and bowel problems. In thinking about when all this began, it seemed to be about the time I bought a big box of Splenda and started using it in coffee and tea--usually about 9 packets per day.

Within 24 hours of stopping it, I started feeling better. Now, having been off it for about a week, I feel nearly myself again. I'm sure some folks can tolerate this sweetener with no problems, but I'm not one of them!"
