On 15 September 2004, we received this note from G.C. of Huntington, WV, concerning their use of sucralose.
|
| "I used Splenda containing drinks for approximately ten days. About a week into this change in diet, I began having small waves of epigastric discomfort, which I wrote off to gastritis. A few days later, the gnawing pain became so severe that I had to make a trip to the ER and get a battery of labs and an upper GI. Everything was negative.
Then I did a search on "splenda and abdominal pain" and got about 300 hits. Splenda was the only thing I had been doing differently. Upon discontinuing the Splenda, my pain resolved.
Coincidence? I think not."
Thank you G.C. for sharing your story with our visitors.
