On 28 February 2004, we received this note from S.P., from Virginia Beach, VA, concerning her use of sucralose.
|
"I first noticed that I had a reaction to sucralose about three years ago. My stepmother gave me some Orville Reddenbacher Kettlecorn popcorn. The first time I ate it, I was fine. The second time I ate it, I was fine until the next morning. I woke up with my very first migraine ever, and I had a tingling in my left arm. I did not realize what had caused it at the time. I had the popcorn about one week later and the same thing happened. At that point, I finally made the connection.
A few days ago, I purchased the new citrus Listerine. I did okay for the first two days. Last night I accidentally swallowed a small amount of the Listerine. After I brushed my teeth and used the mouthwash the next morning, I noticed that my vision was blurred, and I realized that I was about to have a migraine. I laid down for a few hours and, when I was finally able to get up, I checked everything that I had used for the last few days. To my surprise, I found that Listerine has sucralose in it.
It has definitely confirmed that I am very sensitive to all products containing sucralose."
Thank you S.P. for sharing your story with our visitors.
