On 14 October 2004, we received this note from K.T. of Kansas City, MO, concerning their use of sucralose.

"I have to tell you that before 5 minutes ago, I had never heard of anyone having any problems with Splenda.
Last night I began to experience what I can only call "disco lights" in my line of vision. I slowly began to develop a headache after that which put me to bed several hours earlier than I am used to going to sleep. Tunnel vision, disco lights and pain all happening within my head was definitely the worst experience I have ever had in my life with a headache. In the past I used to have migraines and was treated for them but I have to say, this one was the worst and the nausea which came with it just topped off my night. I awoke this morning with a headache still but it finally subsided during my day although the nausea continued until about an hour ago.
All day today, I kept thinking what I could have done yesterday to cause the severe migraine I experienced last night and the only difference in my diet yesterday was trying the new 7UP Mixed Berry drink which right on the label says it is made with Splenda. So upon coming home from work I did a search on Splenda side effects and come upon this website. Its nice to know I wasn't crazy! I knew it had to be something because there has definitely been no stress in my life to cause such a headache!
