On 27 September 2004, we received this note from M.J.B. of Michigan, concerning their use of sucralose.
|
"I have just finished testing myself with Splenda and have positively confirmed that it gives me very bad, continuous headaches. I was so excited to find a new, zero-calorie sweetener that came from sugar. I started using RC Cola products (about 1 or two a day) and it took me a good month of almost continuous headaches to figure out it was the Splenda.
I don't get headaches from other artificial sweeteners, but I don't like to use them. I stopped using Splenda for one week and the headaches went away. I tried it again, and within one day, the headaches were back. It doesn't take much either. Two Splenda-sweetened Lifesavers brought one on, too.
Needless to say, no more Splenda for me. I'll just stick to good, non-sweetened, decaf iced tea from now on. I think the other stuff will kill us with cancer, kidney, or other organ failure."
Thank you M.J.B. for sharing your story with our visitors.
