On 3 November 2004, we received this note from D. of Corvallis, OR, concerning their use of sucralose.

"I don't follow any particular diet. My family mostly eats 100% organic, free range for eggs and animal, anitibiotic free, etc. Clean eaters. I love sweets! I've used herbal Stevia and find that it has an after taste that I can tolerate (I really do not like the idea of aspertame, sugar twin and the like, no no no) but since finding SPLENDA I rarely, almost never actually, use stevia anymore. I also have quit using succanant (natural less refined sugar) and other "alternative" sweeteners, such as rice syrup.
I have never had a side effect from Splenda. I bake with it (still haven't tried the brown sugar one, but plan to use it next time) and use it anywhere I'd use sugar. I haven't seen any problems in my sugar-free 3 year old with it either. I'm happy we found Splenda!
Sugar has 700 calories a cup. Think of the calories, dental caries, and sugar spikes you save yourself from by using Splenda. It's for me. And I agree with the other Splenda positive response regarding sugar alcohols. I've had those before and felt absolutely horrible on them. They are so difficult to digest and made me so miserable.
And no, I'm not endorsed in any way by the makers of Splenda!"
