On 15 December 2004, we received this note from J. of Tigard, OR, concerning their use of sucralose.

"About 3 weeks ago, I started using a small amount of Splenda in my morning coffee. I have been suffering from horrible headaches since.
I tried Aleve, Excedrin (regular, stress, and migraine), Advil, Tylenol, Advil Migraine, and Motrin--all with no relief. I finally went to the doctor who prescribed Midrin, which helped some with the headaches.
This morning a light bulb went on and I skipped the Splenda in the coffee. This is the first day in nearly a month I have not had a headache.
After reading many of the stories online I have noticed a few other symptons. I have been waking up around 1:00 am, unable to return to sleep. I have also been experiencing hot and cold waves. I suspected hormones at first and have had those checked.
It's been a nightmare I can finally wake up from."
Thank you J. for sharing your story with our visitors.
