"The first time I tried sucralose was in the Fruit 2-0 water. My heart started racing. I felt miserable, so I did my best to avoid any items containing Splenda. I thought it only affected me since I have had similar issues when taking antihistamines. After reading this website, I realize that others have had some similar issues.
Recently, I have been having chest pain and shortness of breath. I have been to the doctor many times, but she has not been able to determine the source. I am only 29, so a heart attack is not likely.
The first doctor suspected panic attacks, but not all of my symptoms concurred with that analysis. I have been having the following symptoms: heartburn, bloated stomach, chest pain, racing heart, heart palpitations, and shortness of breath.
Then it occured to me to check the Orbit gum I've been chewing on a regular basis. Guess what it contains? Aspartame and sucralose! Also, one of the new Listerines contains sucralose.
I stopped using that flavor Listerine and stopped chewing the Orbit gum for 2 days. Wow, I felt much better.
Then I go and get a wrap from Subway and guess what?! Twenty minutes later, my stomach starts bloating and the symptoms start coming back. I look up the ingredients and find that the Subway wrap contains sucralose which makes it low-carb.
Well, to all that posted their stories, I thank you. I hope you have found this to be helpful."
