| On 25 April 2005, we received this note from J.B.M. concerning their use of sucralose. |
"I suppose it's simply a matter of perspective and perception. It's also a simple matter that since I discovered Splenda-brand sucralose, I lost my need for sugar. An immediate benefit is that I continue to lose weight steadily and slowly, and, to be quite honest with you, I feel better now that I have in years.
Incidentally, I also eat only whole grain bread, no potatoes or rice, and only occasionally have a Coke (the regular one with sugar). Carbs? You bet! The ones in green vegetables and whole grains. Fruit? Again, you bet! Especially the ones with color to them--like apples, oranges, and most berries. Simple, eh! Meat? Yes, mostly chicken and fish, but also a good piece of beef at least once a week.
At 71, I'm trying to stay around so I can harass folks who "cry wolf" with their "what if" scenarios of doom and gloom about each new product that arrives on the market. Thank God for capitalism and free enterprise, so we the public are able to make our own choices about everything--well, almost everything--including the food we eat--or don't eat."
