| On 8 April 2005, we received this note from A.P. concerning their use of sucralose. |
| "In the past six months, I have increased my use of Splenda due to cutting out sugar for fitness and health. I am an athlete. Today, after three days of hell and six months of wondering what was wrong generally, I realized that sucralose is POISON. Uncontrolable, unbelieveably rank-smelling gas, pain, cramping, bloating, and burning. The feeling of acid burning my stomach cavity and every inch of my colon and intestines. My flatulence felt like burning acid leaving my body. My stomach was distended from bloating and cramping, diarrhea, and nausea.
I will never touch it ever again. I have thrown out 85% of my sports supplements from reputable companies. All contain sucralose. I have warned my family and friends. This stuff is pure poison!
Symptoms:
- extreme, uncontrollable, rank (and this is an understatement) burning gas
- bloating (nothing like normal gas and bloating--there is no comparison)
- nausea, feeling sick to my stomach, burning diarrhea, extreme cramping
- sensation of acid burning my stomach and guts through every inch of my entire colon and intestines
- burning acid flatulence (this is a very odd, red-hot burning sensation in my lower colon when passing gas)
- grumbling churning noices from my stomach and guts
- feeling like my stomach lining was burning up."
Thank you A.P. for sharing your story with our visitors.
