"I found your site on the Internet after experiencing an adverse--almost allergic--reaction to sucralose. I wondered why it was popping up in so many unexpected places--popcorn, protein bars, beverages--with no warning on the label.
Sucralose has always made me ill. But this time, I was even more upset because I had purchased Dasani Natural Lemon Water by Coca-Cola Co. to share with my three-year old son. I had no clue whatsoever that this product contained sucralose, until I drank it. Beforehand, I had put some in my son's cup. Fortunately, he thought it tasted awful and turned it down.
I'm amazed that the FDA doesn't require special labeling when so many people have had adverse reactions to it. Even a few ounces of a beverage that contains sucralose can make me ill.
I created a petition to send to the FDA asking them to require more prominent labeling of products containined sucralose. You can find my petition at:

As you can see, I am upset that Splenda is target-marketing to children in their ads. Thank you for your consideration."
On 4 April 2005, we received an update from D.R.:
"Thank you for the warning about Tylenol Meltaways. I was given a bunch of free samples and gave my son one once. The rest are going in the trash now that I know they contain sucralose. Just too risky!!
Thank you for putting together all the information you have on your website, it really helps."
Thank you D.R. for sharing your story with our visitors.
