Another Splenda Story... | |||||||||||||||||||
| On 31 March 2005, we received this note from J.S. concerning their use of sucralose. |
||||||||||||||||||||
| "I was a user of Splenda and had to quit.
I used to use aspartame-based products, mostly Crystal Lite, but I realized I was abusing my body. I turned to Splenda as an alternative, using it mainly in whey protein drinks I purchased from Costco. After almost nine months of use, I realized the faint, spacey sensation I was getting was, in fact, from the Splenda. This was concluded after many trials of using other alternatives, days without using the protein drink, and days eating no sugar. The sucralose was conclusively the problem. It saddens me because I thought I had found an alternative to aspartame and, ultimately, to sugar. But it was too good to be true. I now use dried cane juice as my alternative. No more lab sugars for me. Thank you for information. You guys are going a good thing." Thank you J.S. for sharing your story with our visitors. |
