On 18 April 2005, we received this note from M.B. of Jacksonville, FL, concerning their use of sucralose.
|
"I found your article very interesting to me. Approximately one week ago, I started drinking a fruit-flavoured water called Fruit 2-0. On the bottle it is disclosed that it has a sweetener called Splenda. I have used Splenda in my coffee from time to time and never had any issues with it.
After drinking approximately two bottles a day for about a week, I started having headaches that nothing I took would help. A friend of mine said he had gotten headaches from water flavoured with aspartame or NutraSweet and he suggested that maybe the water was causing my headaches. I decided to heed his advice and quit drinking this water. My headaches were gone within a day after I stopped drinking the water.
I am convinced that this water with Splenda in it was the source of my headaches."
Thank you M.B. for sharing your story with our visitors.
