On 28 February 2005, we received this note from A.M. of Virginia Beach, VA, concerning their use of sucralose.
|
"My mom and I used to use a soy protein shake daily that had aspartame in the formula instead of sugar. Recently, we found the formula had changed, replacing the aspartame with sucralose, so we tried it. We were happy to see that it now lacked the aspartame that we knew wasn't really good for us.
After consuming our first serving, we noticed we didn't feel so good. We both complained about feeling sick in the stomach, feeling nauseated. I experimented by trying it again at a different time and got the same result.
Some time later, I tried a different flavor of the product to see if that was what caused my feeling sick. I still felt nauseated within minutes after consuming the product.
The only thing that my mom and I could find differnt between the old formula and the new was the replacement of aspartame with sucralose."
Thank you A.M. for sharing your story with our visitors.
