On 23 March 2004, we received this note from P.G. of State College, PA, concerning her use of sucralose.

"I think, in retrospect, that I am very lucky as I only had to try Splenda once to have a really bad reaction!!
Fairly quickly after ingesting the Splenda in a low-carb dessert I had made, I turned beet-red in the face, starting aching all over, and had a massive panic attack. I suspect my blood pressure went sky-high! I really thought I was going to die!
I had an adverse reaction to aspartame the one time I tried it, as well, but this was much worse.
I am very disgusted when I see commercials showing children using Splenda. All the people who are using this and having no problems may be unknowingly damaging themselves in ways that aren't so obvious!"
