On 24 May 2004, we received this note from D.M. of White, GA, concerning his use of sucralose.
|
"I have been a coffee drinker for forty years and I am particular about the taste of my coffee which I brew at home. I take a teaspoon of sugar to round out the flavor and offset any bitterness.
I began using Splenda about a month ago, anticipating that I wouldn't like it at all. To my surprise, it was a marvelous substitute for the sweetness of sugar without introducing any peculiar off-taste. In fact, what I like best about Splenda is that it doesn't leave that sour aftertaste that sugar does (from enzyme action on the sugar in the back of my mouth).
I think I'll stay with Splenda. Life would be perfect if they'd just make a Splenda version of Oreo cookies!"
Thank you D.M. for sharing your story with our visitors.
