On 20 May 2004, we received this note from R.of Los Angeles, CA, concerning her use of sucralose.
|
"Whenever I would go to my client's office, I would pop a piece of gum in my mouth (Trident White) to freshen my breath before meetings. It seemed that most times, after I arrived, I started experiencing dizziness and light-headedness with no idea what caused it. It primarily happened at that one office, so I began to wonder if the fluorescent lights were bothering me.
This morning, after eating a bowl of low-carb Special K cereal (that contains sucralose) then sitting at my computer, I experienced the same dizziness. It made me wonder if there was a correlation. It seems that sucralose gives me the dizziness when I ingest it on a fairly empty stomach and when I'm relatively inactive.
Regardless, I'm backing off the stuff."
