On 18 June 2004, we received this note from C.P. of Vancouver, WA, concerning their use of sucralose.

"I too had no idea I was ingesting poison when I was adding Splenda to my tea. I started in December around the holidays and so did my intense headaches, acne, feelings of exhaustion, feelings of depression, and nervousness.
I stopped Splenda 5 days ago and the acne has cleared up completely. I was fighting the endless sores for months. My headaches were night and day and they are subsiding too. I cannot believe how long it takes to get it all out of my system either.
I too had anxiety attacks and horrible PMS. I assumed my hormones were completely out of control, but after a physical and blood tests they couldn't find any imbalances. I was given muscle relaxers for the headache and a jaw splint but neither worked.
I was addicted to poison that I thought was just calorie-free sugar. I cannot believe there is no warning on the box at all. On the Splenda website there is a page about headaches but says nothing about the potential for Splenda to cause them. I am absolutely terrified to eat things now if I cannot see a label with ingredients.
I've lost 6 months of my life to Splenda and I cannot recapture that time. I'm finally coming out of the prison of fog and pain and I feel so stupid not to have realized sooner."
Thank you C.P.. for sharing your story with our visitors.
