On 21 June 2004, we received this note from J.S. of Kernersville, NC, concerning their use of sucralose.
|
"On a visit to my family's home, I discovered that they did not use natural sugar in their food or beverages. Opposed to this, they used Splenda. With the information that my mother gave me on the supposed benefits, I assumed it would be OK.
However, by just drinking a few sips, the side effects were severe for me. A few hours after I initially drank the tea with the sucralose in it, I came home with a severe migraine, nausea, and lightheadedness. I felt so bad to the extent that I thought I was going to vomit.
I am certain that my illness was caused by the use of Splenda in the tea I drank at my family's home and I also truly believe everything on your website is valid due to my own experience with this dangerous artificial sweetener. I encourage NO ONE to use Splenda, and I actually believe that using natural sugar is better than risking the side effects of sucralose.
Thank you so much for running such an informative website, and for reading my story."
Thank you J.S. for sharing your story with our visitors.
