Abdominoplasty is a serious, invasive surgical procedure. It requires a general anesthesia which carries its own risks.
Be sure to discuss all options, risks, benefits, possible outcomes, and your medical history with your doctor. Speak with others who had the same procedure. Review your surgeon's history and success rates. Ask questions. Do your homework.
Your health and well-being are your responsibility. Take care of yourself.

| Abdominoplasty - Tummy Tuck |
| On 14 April 2004, we received the following story from M.E. of Bronx, NY, concerning her success with tummy tuck surgery:
"I had a tummy tuck procedure done in January 2004. It was a birthday present for myself. I went in weighing 185 pounds.
At first I was not nervous until they began drawing on my skin. However, I quickly got myself together. I was ready for this, especially since I researched this for two months. Anyhow, it was not bad at all. I hardly felt any pain. The most I felt was pressure on my back. I healed quite quickly to my surprise.
I'm now three months post-op and weigh 162 pounds. I'm still striving to lose more." |
Thank you M.E. for sharing your story with our visitors.
