On 12 June 2005, we received this note from A.S. concerning their use of sucralose.

"As I sit here writing this story, I am having unbelievable stomach cramps and diarrhea.

I drank a can of the new Diet Coke with Splenda. The soft drinks sweetened with this stuff seem to be loaded with it. I have gotten my worst episodes after drinking Cheerwine, Diet Rite, and now Diet Coke. I still sweeten my coffee with 2 packets, but that doesn't affect me."
