On 31 May 2005, we received this note from M.H. concerning their use of sucralose.

"My husband and I began drinking Diet Coke with Splenda because we wanted a "treat" that fit our healthy lifestyle. We began to experience extreme fatigue and thought we had the flu. We finally realized our symptoms began with drinking the Coke.

Over a two week period, we experienced the symptoms as each of us drank the Coke. Normally, we avoid sodas as we are health conscious. We felt that the Diet Coke would be a safe "treat."

We will no longer be using the product."
