On 4 June 2005, we received this note from K & S of Perry, OK, concerning their use of sucralose.

"My husband and I tried a Carb Freedom icea cream put out by Blue Bunny, named Double Strawberry. It was made using Splenda. Both times we ate the ice cream, we became ill with diarrhea, gas, and explosive bowel movements.

We have tried Splenda in other products with no ill effects but, in ice cream, we cannot seem to partake of it. I might add that the ice cream was delicious, but the after effects nearly killed us. Within 60-90 minutes, our stomachs were rolling.

I had no idea Splenda was so dangerous. Thanks for the information found on your website."
