On 4 May 2005, we received this note from D.M.R. of Clearfield, PA, concerning their use of sucralose.

"I've suspected that Splenda was causing me problems for a while, but was unable to pinpoint what was causing the diarrhea and terrible gas until last night.

My wife based a batch of presweetened (with Splenda) chocolate chip cookies. I ate about 5-6 small cookies. Well now I am absolutely sure that Splenda is aggravating my insides. I spent the night passing massive amounts of gas followed by diarrhea. I also felt as if my blood pressure was going haywire.

These are reactions that I do not wish to repeat and I am done with Splenda! Where are the warnings?"
