| "I have suffered from blisters in my mouth since the middle of December. It made ating a real ordeal which made me lose weight (fortunately) but with serious discomfort.
Two months ago, I decided to go to the ear-nose-and-throat specialist. He ruled it out as a virus, but gave me medication. Everything remained the same. My mouth has become so sensitive that I cannot drink any citric juice. I have to eat very slowly to not elicit the formation of more blisters. My mouth is always dry to the point of getting my tongue stuck to the soft palate at the back of my mouth. A very painful situation. Three days ago, I began to realize that the only change I made in December regarding my diet and eating habits was to include sparkling water beverages sweetened with Splenda. I became almost addicted to them. I began troubleshooting my condition by cutting different things from my regular diet. When I came to cutting the drinks, my mouth began to feel better almost immediately. These have been the two greatest days of this year. Tonight, I was able to eat with regular size bites and without any pain or discomfort. I will report on progress as I continue to heal. Thank you for your time." Thank you M.D. for sharing your story with our visitors. |
