| On 27 July 2005, we received this note from L.M. of San Bernardino, CA, concerning their use of sucralose. |

| "The first time I knowingly ate something with Splenda, it was sugar-free candy given to me by a friend who has a connection with a candy manufacturer. He warned me that eating more than two or three pieces might cause diarrhea. I found that even two piees would set off an attack. I have been attempting to avoid this stuff for the past two years now.
I always had was I jokingly referred to as a cast-iron digestive system. Nothing seemed to bother me. For the past two years, I have had almost constant diarrhea and almost anything with fiber will set it off which makes it hard to eat right. I have been through a whole battery of tests for lower digestive problems with no abnormalities or reason for my problems found. I have not been able to think of anything else that I ate or did differntly when the problems started. I have concluded that the Splenda seems to have made my intestines extremeley sensitive. My daughter-in-law, who has had low blood sugar problems, was originally interested in Splenda in the hope that it would not set off the blood sugar swings like sugar. She found that it seemed to set off bladder infections instead." Thank you L.M. for sharing your story with our visitors. |

| If you have experienced any side effects, whether you are sure it is Splenda or not, be sure to speak with your physician and discuss all possibilities. . |
