| On 18 July 2005, we received this note from M.H. of Jacksonville, TX, concerning their use of sucralose. |

| "Ill effects of Splenda... I recently switched to Splenda adding it to my morning coffee. Common sense told me it couldn't be good for you. Changing a molecule to make something your body doesn't recognize or absorb as calories--like Olestra the "wonder oil" used in fat-free stuff. We all remember how fast the ill effects of Olestra were made known and now a warning label is required on its products.
Well, after a little research and reading hundreds of testimonials, I know I'm not alone in experiencing a long list of side effects from the use of Splenda and the products containing sucralose. I immediately began having IBS symptoms, abdominal cramping (the kind that keeps you up at night), kidney and bladder pain (almost thought I was having another kidney stone), achy, arthritic pain in my back and joints (felt like an old lady), and chronic fatigue and swelling of lymph glands. I will stop using Splenda and start reading labels to avoid sucralose in products I buy. I will also try to inform others to do their research before they ingest this toxin. I'll bet it won't be long before warning labels are listing the harmful side effects many are suffering due to Splenda and its products!" Thank you M.H. for sharing your story with our visitors. |
