Splenda Chat

Coming soon... a Splenda chatroom where you discuss the benefits and drawbacks of sucralose consumption with other Splenda users.

On 28 June 2005, we received this note from D.H. concerning their use of sucralose.
"I have been using Splenda on a regular basis in coffee, for baking, etc. I have no adverse reactions to Splenda. I love it.

However, sugar alcohols found in many of today's sugarfree candies, tears me up! Anything that contains maltitol, sorbitol, or mannitol causes excessive bloating, gas, and severe abdominal pain--even when eating just one or two pieces. Sometimes the pain is so bad I can hardly walk and am even doubled over in pain.

So much for sugar free!!"

Thank you D.H. for sharing your story with our visitors.

If you have experienced any side effects, whether you are sure it is Splenda or not, be sure to speak with your physician and discuss all possibilities.
