I have added only one new products to my diet in the past five weeks--Sparkling Ice drink with Splenda. After two days of drinking only three, I got some awful mouth sores. I had to stop eating and drinking everything because it was painful to even swallow. I did not connect the sores to the new drink. I thought about going to the doctor, but after two days, my mouth got a little better. I thought it was just one of those random things... maybe I needed to brush better or something.

I started eating and drinking again (including the new drink). I got even more sores.  Once again, the same process of pain, stopping eating and drinking, and healing again. Along with the sores, I developed awful gas, diarrhea, and insomnia.

Wondering at this point if there was some sort of side effects from Splenda (since it is basically the only ingredient in these drinks), I did a web search and found this site. You can imagine my amazement reading that other people have had the same story--even including this same product!

I am convinced now that it must be the Splenda since I didn't change anything else in my habits or eating. I am very grateful taht I stumbled across this website.  The drinks seemed too good to be true--zero calories, zero fat, zero sodium, vitamin C.  Well, as they say if something sounds too good to be true...

Also, it is good to find out that I'm extremely sensitive to Splenda. I will be avoiding all products with that ingredient."
