| On 20 June 2005, we received this note from Mr. E. concerning their use of sucralose. |

| "My concern is, can it cause extremities to swell?"
On 3 July 2005, after responding to Mr. E, we received a follow-up note: "Thanks. I tried the elimination process and I got better within 24-48 hours. I then tried aspartame and it caused tingling. I stopped that, too. I've gone to 100% all-natural apple juice and I'm doing fine." On 23 July 2005, we heard again from Mr. E: "Thanks for the follow-up. I'm doing fine and had no problems since I've been off the stuff (Splenda). My doctor thanked me for all of the information about my symptoms and told me several of his other patients have had similar side effects. Once they stopped using Splenda, their symptoms went away, too. I haven't had the swelling or one heart palpitation since not using it. Never had a heart palpitation before or since. My mother even stopped using it, as well as a couple of friends after I told them about what happened to me. Thanks!" Thank you Mr. E. for sharing your story with our visitors. We look forward to updating this story. |
