On a fluke, a did a Google search for "Splenda and heartburn" and this site came up. I was ready to go to the doctor about the possibility of having acid reflux disease after losing many nights of sleep to the horrible pain. Nothing would stop the heartburn pain.  I kept thinking to myself--what have I been doing differently?

It dawned on me one day that the one thing was was different in my diet was the fruit drinks I had been drinking with Splenda in them. I immediately quit the sucralose and the heartburn was gone. I realized that I am allergic to Splenda (sucralose) and I will never use the product again.  I even read labels to make sure I am not getting anything with sucralose in it. I won't let my kids have the stuff either.

I turned my friend on to this website. She had gone to the hospital with heart palpitations recently and had also been having hot flashes.  She now attributes her symptoms to Splenda.  She thanked me for giving her this information and the website I had found because she probably wouldn't have put two-and-two together either.
