Splenda Chat

Coming soon... a Splenda chatroom where you discuss the benefits and drawbacks of sucralose consumption with other Splenda users.

On 28 August 2005, we received this note from J.C. concerning their use of sucralose.
"I had been experiencing migraines for a few months and searched frantically for a common trigger that could be causing them.

I noticed that it always happened when I went to the gym or did work outdoors.  I thought maybe it was my blood pressure or some other physical problem. After months of suffering, and a shelf full of empty pain killer bottles, I found out about Splenda and sucralose causing headaches.

Whenever I work outside or go to the gym, I drink bottles of Propel fitness water, which I just discovered is loaded with sucralose. I started looking around at the things I have been consuming on a regular basis and noticed that many everyday products contain Splenda or sucralose--even things that are not considered low calorie or diet. Popular coffee shops use it in everything!

From now on, I am going to be careful to check the labels and ask at restaurants if this substance is being used in any of their products."

Thank you J.C. for sharing your story with our visitors.

If you have experienced any side effects, whether you are sure it is Splenda or not, be sure to speak with your physician and discuss all possibilities.
