| On 21 February 2006, we received this note from J. concerning their use of sucralose. |

| "I had stopped drinking regular diet soda about a year ago because of severe headaches, feeling dizzy, and extreme anxiety.
Just recently, I started using Splenda. I bought 7Up Plus thinking the Splenda would be better for me. I should have known better! For the past two weeks, I have felt awful. I've had extreme bouts of dizziness, shaking, horrible headaches (and I rarely have any headaches), racing heart, and panic attacks. Finally, I ended up putting two-and-two together the other night. After having no Splenda yesterday, I awoke today feeling fine. Then I had a 7Up Plus. About five minutes into drinking the soda, my heart started racing and I became very dizzy. I immediately put the soda down, hopped on the Internet, and found this wasn't uncommon at all. I could not believe it, but I felt better finally figuring out what was going on. Today, I have had absolutely no Splenda at all. No headaches. Not one episode of dizziness. No shaky feelings. NOTHING! For the makers of Splenda to dare say there are no side effects seems to me like they are opening themselves up for one major lawsuit down the road. I'm back to plain old natural sugar for my tea. I would rather just walk an extra 10 minutes or so to burn of the extra minor calories than to ever put anything like that into my body again. Thanks for your site!" Thank you J. for sharing your story with our visitors. |

| If you have experienced any side effects, whether you are sure it is Splenda or not, be sure to speak with your physician and discuss all possibilities. . |
