Splenda Chat

Coming soon... a Splenda chatroom where you discuss the benefits and drawbacks of sucralose consumption with other Splenda users.

On 17 February 2006, we received this note from J.B. from Michigan concerning their use of sucralose.
"I had to write after reading all the other stories. I have had abdominal cramping and diarrhea for four days straight. Two weeks ago, I experienced dizziness, stomach aches, and nausea. After drinking three waters a day to stay hydrated--and, yes, they were flavored waters with Splenda--I was not getting any better. Yet, I would be completely fine, thinking I was getting better. I would drink a water and, within an hour, I was off to the bathroom.

Finally, after paying attention to everything I was eating and drinking, it dawned on me--it's the water! So, I stopped the water and went to plain water. It has been almost 24 hours and I am feeling great. I told a coworker how I was feeling better, and she mentioned that her mother can not drink or eat anything with Splenda because of the same problems I was having.

That's what led me to this site. I had to find out what the side effects were and there they were--all spelled out.  I am done with Splenda!!!

I will say, though, that I believe not everyone is affected the same way. Enjoy it if you can, but I am back to Sweet-n-Low."

Thank you J.B. for sharing your story with our visitors.

If you have experienced any side effects, whether you are sure it is Splenda or not, be sure to speak with your physician and discuss all possibilities.
