Splenda Chat

Coming soon... a Splenda chatroom where you discuss the benefits and drawbacks of sucralose consumption with other Splenda users.

On 5 April 2006, we received this note from S.H. concerning their use of sucralose.
"First of all, I have to say that I love Splenda. It's the first artificial sweetener I have found that actually tastes good. So, I was saddened to discover that Splenda, at least when added to fruit-flavored water, was aggravating my Graves disease symptoms, namely the increased development of my left breast. Some people with Graves disease experience asymmetrical breast growth, and I am one of those people. I had previously noted that aspartame caused the same effect. I am hoping I can still use Splenda with food, and that water made the chemical more potent. Plus, with Splenda water, I had the trots, as mentioned on your site."

Thank you S.H. for sharing your story with our visitors.

If you have experienced any side effects, whether you are sure it is Splenda or not, be sure to speak with your physician and discuss all possibilities.
