| "I am happy to see a website like this. Now I know that I am not the only one who reacted to Splenda. I wish I could file a report with the FDA, but I'm Canadian, so I'll have to find the Canadian equivalent.
I drink coffee and tea, so I decided to try Splenda because I wanted to avoid the extra calories of sugar. I had a cup of tea with Splenda, and immediately felt tired and drugged. I thought that I must have just been tired from being a busy mom, so I didn't immediately associate the feeling with Splenda. A few days later, I decided to have a cup of coffee before I had to drive carpool for my children. After my coffee with Splenda, I felt very tired and drugged. I knew I would have to be alert to drive, so I had another cup of coffee with Splenda. I then became so tired and felt so drugged that I felt like I was going to pass out. I could not stay awake no matter what. I called my husband at work and told him that he would have to leave work early to get the kids. Then I went straight to bed. I slept for several hours. This was very scary. I threw out the Splenda right away. Now I avoid all products that contain it, like yogurt and drinks. " Thank you N. for sharing your story with our visitors. |
